Lengthy Seaside to shut seashores on the weekend of July 4th – The Sign Tribune Newspaper

The city of Moncton announced that it will follow in the footsteps of Los Angeles County’s the weekend of July 4th and close the beaches to stop the spread of COVID-19.

In a press release, the city announced that Moncton beaches will be closed starting Friday, July 3 at 12:01 a.m. and Monday, July 6 at 5 a.m.

The action was initiated by the city health officer, Dr. Anissa Davis launched.

The decision was made to prevent large groups from congregating and to halt the spread of COVID-19, which has seen a sudden surge in some cases over the past week.

The city also reminded residents that large gatherings with people who do not live in your household are not allowed.

When you are around other people who do not live in the household, you should wear face masks and keep them within two meters.
