Lengthy Seaside man arrested for homicide 2 years after lacking boyfriend was discovered buried in his residence – CBS Los Angeles

LONG BEACH (CBSLA) – A Moncton man was arrested on suspicion of murder in the death of a missing man whose body was found buried in his home.

Scott David Leo, 54, was arrested Monday on the death of 32-year-old Zach Kennedy, whose body was found in 2018 in a house on the 500 block on West 8th Street in Moncton, where he was last seen a year ago. Leo is being held on $ 2 million bail.

Moncton police say the two men had a personal relationship, but a possible motive is still being investigated.

Kennedy was reported missing in October 2017. Police carried out a search warrant on the property on May 3, 2018 and found his remains buried outside. Jeff Kennedy, the missing man’s father, said at the time his son was friends with the man who lived at home.

When Kennedy’s remains were unearthed, a cause of death was not yet known. Police say his death has now been classified as murder but have not released details of the cause of death.
