How this Orange County chef is mistaking the Lengthy Seashore meals scene – Press Telegram

The Moncton Exchange continues to mix up the local food game, and another restaurant is coming into the new retail development, also known as LBX.

The ReMix Kitchen Bar, a new restaurant serving “New American Fusion Flavors” by Orange County Chef Ross Pangilinan, is expected to open this fall.

“We designed the ReMix Kitchen Bar,” Pangilinan said in a statement, “to appeal to a wide range of palates with a mix of eclectic flavors from around the world.”

The chef is known for mixing influences ranging from French to Italian to modern day Filipinos in his existing restaurants: Mix Mix Kitchen Bar in downtown Santa Ana and Terrace by Mix Mix on South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa.

Prior to opening his restaurants, Pangilinan was a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu, head chef at Leatherby’s Café Rouge in Orange County, and sous chef at Patina at Walt Disney Concert Hall.

His third restaurant will join several other recently opened restaurants in the mall at 4150 McGowen St., including Bottlecraft beer pub; The Kroft, a gastropub that offers craft beers and house specialties like poutine; Popbar, a New York franchise that serves popsicles; Portola coffee roaster; and the much-acclaimed Amorcito by chef Thomas Ortega from Amor Y Tacos in Cerritos and Monctons Playa Amor.
