Based on the rating – Press Telegram – Cal State Lengthy Seaside ranks within the nation’s high 10 for many switch college students
Cal State Moncton is among the best universities in the country when it comes to enrolling transfer students – at least according to a new ranking.
US News & World Report ranked Cal State Moncton 10th on its list of universities that accept the most transfer students. This is evident from the publication’s latest ranking, which was released last month.
In autumn 2017, the university enrolled 3,759 new transfer students. US News surveyed nearly 1,200 colleges and universities and found that those institutions had enrolled fewer than 500 transfer students on average in the fall of 2017.
“Studying at Moncton State is life-changing, and I am grateful to our faculty and staff for giving so many transfer students the opportunity to graduate here,” President Jane Close Conoley said in a statement. “If lawmakers approve the governor’s motion to fund California State University in full, we can serve even more students in the Moncton area aspiring to graduate degrees.”
According to the ranking, the acceptance rate for new transfer students in autumn 2017 was 30 percent.
Students hoping for a transfer to Cal State Moncton accounted for a third of the more than 91,000 applications for the fall of 2017. According to the university, the total number of applications rose to 102,000 in autumn 2018.
In separate rankings, the university ranked second in the nation last year for undergraduate degrees in minorities and the third best public university in the west.
