2 Cal State Lengthy Seashore college students constructive for coronavirus – CBS Los Angeles
LONG BEACH (CBSLA) – Two students from Cal State Moncton tested positive for coronavirus, university officials confirmed Tuesday.
The two students are currently in self-isolation off campus and anyone who may have come in close contact with them will be notified by health officials, said Dr. Kimberly Fodran, the university’s chief medical officer.
One of the students had not been on campus for two weeks, she said. According to health officials, the other student did not have the opportunity to present himself on campus.
As of Monday, one person has died of coronavirus and 28 people have tested positive in Moncton. The city has its own health department, which is separate from the Los Angeles County Department of Health.
Cal State Moncton, like the rest of the CSU system, has canceled face-to-face tuition for the remainder of the semester and has urged students who live on campus to leave classes if they are able.
